Endhiran/ Enthiran true collections

Media hype is pumping more enthusiasm into the high budget Tamil movie ‘Endhiran’ which was hyped to have collected Rs 100 crores in the opening weekend

and is sure to collect Rs 450 crores, which is only the prediction of the producers and not the actual cinema trade analysts.

Due to the lack of organized reporting, Endhiran/Enthiran is said to be getting all fake record collections. But here is the actual truth regarding the collections. The movie is going strongly in Tamilnadu and is reported to have collected Rs 73 cr- Rs 75 cr world wide so far, which is the actual collection estimate. The actual trade estimates speak out that, Endhiran/ Enthiran is churning out Rs 1.7 lakhs per day from the different centers and that amounts to Rs 8-9 crores per day. The other languages collections are disappointing as the Andhra Pradesh collections of Robot are said to be overall Rs 12- Rs 14 crores which is against Rs 27 crores investment. So, presently there is a loss. The Karnataka and Kerala collections are so far Rs 5-6 crores and the Mumbai and Delhi reports of collections are said to be Rs 12 cr to Rs 16 crores.Coming to the overseas record collections the USA and UK reports are as follows.

United States of America- Enthiran/Endhiran – Rs 6.81 crores so far; Robot (telugu)- Rs 2.16 crore and Robot (Hindi)- Rs 73.58 lacs.

United Kingdom- Endhiran/Enthiran- Rs 1.96 crores and Robot Hindi is Rs 43.17 lacs.

So, the actual collection estimate are estimated to be in the range of Rs 70 crores to Rs 75 crores and not Rs 100 cr as claimed by the makers of ‘Endhiran/Enthiran’.
